September 15, 2014......Attention soccer players, coaches, fans, parents, and soccer lovers—come to Fox Prairie Golf Course and get your kicks! On Saturday, September 27, the Noblesville Parks Department will introduce its newest offering—foot golf. As the name indicates, foot golf is a combination of soccer and golf. An 18 hole accredited foot golf course is being constructed within the west nine holes at Fox Prairie Golf Course and will be the seventh such course in Indiana. Players tee up in groups like golf and begin each hole by kicking a soccer ball from the tee. They then kick the ball until it lands in the special 21” hole while utilizing the etiquette and rules of traditional golf. Traditional golf attire is preferred and NO cleats will be allowed. Soccer flats or tennis shoes should be worn.

Fox Prairie’s foot golf course will not interfere with its golf play, and both sports may be played at the same time. Golf and foot golf courses will both be available for play anytime that Fox Prairie is open. Foot golf will be $14 per person to walk 18 holes or $21.50 per person to ride 18 holes. Players are encouraged to call for tee times up to one week in advance. Rental soccer balls will be available or players may bring their own soccer balls.

“We wanted to offer this new, unique opportunity for families, teams, companies, etc., to get some exercise, develop skills, or just have some fun with the newest sport in the industry,” said Brandon Bennett, Director of the Parks Department. “This allows us to do that while utilizing our existing facilities and bringing soccer into the golf world.”
