The City of Noblesville Storm Water Program and Blatchley Nature Center will jointly host a Hoosier Riverwatch Basic Training workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 19. The workshop will be held at Blatchley Nature Center, 125 Boulder Drive in Noblesville.

There is no cost for the training but participants must bring their own lunch and dress appropriately for the weather and to be knee deep in water during the field portion of the training (i.e. water shoes or waders). Training manuals and sampling equipment will be provided.

“The mission of Hoosier Riverwatch is to involve the citizens of Indiana in becoming active stewards of Indiana’s water resources through watershed education, water monitoring and clean-up activities. Hoosier Riverwatch is a state-sponsored water quality monitoring initiative,” said Tim Stottlemyer, Noblesville storm water coordinator.
