Street Department

The mission of the Street Department is to provide the residents of Noblesville with services that improve their quality of life. Through our central location and two satellite salt facilities we are able to maintain more than 500 lane miles of city streets. We are able to do this with the support of the department’s staff of 37 employees. Some of the services provided are urban forestry maintenance; roadside maintenance; asphalt and concrete repair; snow removal; right-of-way utility cut inspection; brush and leaf collection; and street sign, traffic signal and street light maintenance. The Street Department also maintains Riverside Cemetery.
The Street Department also provides the following services for our residents:
- Downtown Maintenance
- Street Sweeping
- Maintenance of City Parking Lots
- Maintenance of Riverside Cemetery
- Traffic Signal Maintenance
- Maintenance/Mowing of City Right-of-Ways
- Berming
Republic Services will not provide trash/recycling service on these holidays:
- New Years Day (will not affect residents in 2023)
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Trash collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. If the holiday falls on a weekend, your collection day will not change. Trash collection also may be delayed due to severe weather.
The City of Noblesville does NOT pick up grass clippings. Additionally, the Hamilton County Household Hazardous Waste Center no longer accepts drop offs.
- Grass clippings should be included with resident's waste totes.
- Overage bags can be purchased at the Street Department for anything over the waste containers.
- Bags must weigh no more than 40 lbs.
Noblesville residents with concerns about their trash or recycling pickup from Republic
Services, may contact the Noblesville-specific phone number of (317) 567-6400.
