                                             OUR MISSION

The Noblesville Fire Department's first line of defense against fire loss and other public risk are our Fire Prevention Programs.  We strongly believe that the prevention of fires is far more cost effective and beneficial to our citizens than fire suppression efforts after a fire occurs

    DIPPY DOG WATER SAFETY PROGRAM

The Noblesville Dive Team is proud to announce a new water safety program for our community. The Dive team consists of both Noblesville Fire and Police Department officers. The primary responsibility of the dive team is

underwater search, rescue, recovery and evidence processing.  Our team has expanded our responsibilities to include public education. Our goal is to steer young children away from unsafe swim areas through our educational

program. Our message is simple; stay out of unsafe water. Unsafe water includes the obvious retention ponds, creeks, river, etc. and the not so obvious such as swimming pools with no adults, inflatable pools with no adults, etc. Our

program also promotes safe swim areas in Noblesville such as Forest Park Aquatic Center, Morse Park and Beach, Stony Creek Swim Center, and Dillon Park Splash Pad.

The program starts with a coloring contest. The coloring sheets will be dropped off at the school and then collected prior to the actual presentation. The high school students

who designed the coloring sheet will be our "celebrity" judges for the coloring contest. Each classroom will have a winner announced during their presentation.  The program is power point based and lasts approximately 30 minutes. It is interactive and includes many pictures of the local area. After the program, each student will receive a packet. Inside is a participant award certificate signed by Mayor Ditslear and Dippy Dog, an information sheet identifying some safe swim areas in Noblesville, and coupons for one free admission to Forest Park Pool, Stony Creek Swim Center, and Morse Park and Beach.

The entire community has stepped up to help bring this program to fruition. Our Dippy Dog logo, mascot, and coloring sheet were all created by Noblesville High

School Senior, Jennifer McConnell with help from her art teacher, Craig Helming. Our Safe Swim Areas all jumped in and pledged support. Mayor Ditslear and his

entire office have played a tremendous role in getting this program off the ground. Noblesville Dive Team also wants to thank all the teachers and school

staff that are allowing us to bring our new program into their classrooms! Please contact Craig Pittman of the Noblesville Police Department with any

    questions regarding this program.
