Noblesville Chosen As One of Top Five Best Places To Retire back
Date of Record: August 19, 2010

Liz Pulliam Weston, the Internet's most widely read personal finance writer, wrote a recent column for MSN Money which listed the five top places in the United States to retire based on affordable housing, a good economy, good access to medical care, and a wide variety of leisure activities.  Weston asked Bert Sperling of Best Places to provide his top five choices for the best places to retire and Noblesville was selected as one of the five.  "We have always thought of Noblesville as a whole life community where a person can grow up and go to school, work, raise a family, and retire," said Mayor John Ditslear.  "We have received national recognitions for the first three and it's very gratifying to now receive recognition for what our community offers seniors," he added.  Noblesville provides many attractions for retirees such as a wide variety of senior housing (including senior apartments and condos, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities), numerous health care facilities, and a large number of community activities (including many free and inexpensive activities).

The other communities that made the list are Rogers, Arkansas; Moon Township, Pennsylvania; Gainsville, Florida; and Mount Vernon, Washington.
