136th Street/Frontage Road east of Brooks School Road will close on or after April 9, 2007. This closure will allow for the reconstruction of the road to the Hamilton Town Center site. When the road reopens, no through access to Greenfield Avenue/future 146th Street will be available. During construction, residents on 136th Street will have access to their homes at all times. This portion of the project is anticipated to last until early June, at which time the intersection of 136th Street and Brooks School Road will close for construction of a roundabout.
Intersection work at 136th Street and Brooks School Road was completed and reopened August 1, 2007. 136th Street east of the intersection remains closed to through traffic.
A detour route will utilize 136th Street, Marilyn Road, Greenfield Avenue, "old" 146th Street, and Bergen Boulevard. A map illustrating this route can be seen at the link below.
