Noblesville and Hamilton County Officials to Conduct Uniform Inspection of Local Boy Scout Troop back
Date of Record: December 3, 2004

On Monday, November 1 at 7:00pm, the Boy Scouts of Troop 183 (sponsored by St. Michael's Episcopal Church in South Harbor) will undergo a uniform inspection by uniformed officers of the local Police, Fire, and Sheriff's offices.  Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear and Noblesville City Council President Laurie Hurst will officiate the inspection which will take place at St. Michael's Church at 444 South Harbour Drive.

Assistant Scoutmaster and Navy veteran Arnal Cook arranged the Boy Scout uniform inspection.  Adult leaders, including Scoutmaster Joseph Bates, Committee Chairman Ray Motluck, and others will undergo inspection with the Scouts.   It will help instill pride in their uniforms and provide a civics lesson about the civilian and elected officials who control our uniformed services.  A question and answer period will follow after the inspection.

Following the inspection and discussion, everyone will assemble behind St. Michael's Church for the proscribed manner of retiring some aged and worn American flags.
