Roy Johnson began serving his third term on the Noblesville Common Council in January 2016. Johnson previously served as council president in 2010 and 2013.

Johnson has been involved in multiple locally-based corporations. He was Co-Owner/Vice President of HomeTown Television Corporation/HomeTown Sports Productions and was the host of numerous television shows on HomeTown Television. He was Co-Owner/Business Manager of Indiana Automation, Inc./Integrator.com. His resume also includes Vice President of Sales at Taylored Systems, Inc., and he has been part of Purdue University, Department of Public Affairs. Johnson earned two degrees from the University of Northern Iowa (a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in Spanish).
