Weather Postpones Annual Noblesville Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday

The weekend weather forecast and concern for the public’s wellbeing and safe traveling has caused city officials to postpone the annual Noblesville Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24. A decision on when the Noblesville Parks and Recreation Department and Hare Chevrolet will host the free community event at Forest Park has not been made.

“Forecasts of inches of snow and freezing rain are not the signs of spring our annual Easter Egg hunt represent – or conditions parents want young children to be outdoors in,” said Parks Director Brandon Bennett. “It appears that Jack Frost does not want the Easter Bunny and his colorful eggs to have their day in the sun. By postponing we can host the event in safer weather conditions ensuring a fun time is had by everyone and the eggs and treats inside are not frozen.”

The event features fun children’s activities including bounce houses, a DJ, visit from the Easter Bunny and egg hunt for four age groups for children up to 10 years old (1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-10). In addition to Hare Chevrolet, other sponsors of the Easter Egg Hunt include Walmart and KidZone Party Rentals.

The city will announce the rescheduled date once it has been decided on its website, social media and through local media outlets.
