The City of Noblesville is seeking input on its Downtown District Streetscape Master Plan for improvements on city right-of-way and public areas only. The survey is available online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/embracedowntown.

The Noblesville Common Council created its Downtown District Committee in 2017. One of the projects it started at that time was the downtown streetscape master plan to help decision makers, stakeholders, investors, property owners, property tenants and community members shape and elevate the function, form, aesthetics and branding of the downtown district. The plan will provide a strategy and prioritized plan for enhancing all elements of both the hardscape and landscape.

“Embrace Downtown is a process being conducted by the City of Noblesville to identify improvements that can be done in the downtown district area,” said Noblesville Planning Director Sarah Reed. “These improvements are intended to make the space more pedestrian friendly, capitalize on commercial opportunities for residents and visitors, facilitate special events more easily, and enhance this historic area of Noblesville.”

The survey will be available online through March 17. The City of Noblesville will hold a public meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 to present the process of the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan and take input from the public. That meeting will be held in rooms A213 and A214 on the second floor of City Hall, 16 South 10th Street. Additionally, consultants will hold  three public open houses at Noblesville Main Street, 839 Conner Street, from 10 a.m. to noon, March 5; noon to 2 p.m., March 7; and 2 to 4 p.m., March 9.
