Project Description
Project will relieve congestion at the intersection, increase safety, and alleviate drainage issues in the immediate vicinity. In addition, an asphalt multi-use path will be extended north to connect to Noblesville School campus.
The project is being funding 80% with Congestion Management and Air Quality (CMAQ) monies.
Utility relocation for the project was completed in August, 2013.
Construction on the roundabout began August, 2013. During Phase I of construction, the roadway will remain open to traffic. However, intermittent delays will be noticed as the contractor mobilizes equipment and material to the site. Three 6-hour closure periods of Hague Road will be scheduled in order for the storm sewer to be constructed across the road. These crossings have been completed, to date.
Phase II of the construction will build the east and west legs of the intersection as well as the center island. During this phase, 196th Street will be closed. This phase began on Monday, September 9, 2013 and has now been completed.
During Phase III of construction, the entire intersection will be closed in order to complete the tie-in of the north and south legs of the roundabout. This work is scheduled to take place during Noblesville Schools Fall Break, October 12 - October 27. This phase has been completed.
The contractor re-mobilized in the spring 2014 in order to complete paving of the multi-use path, do final dirt grading on the site, and complete necessary punch-list items.
